Question: What can i do with all these unused medical supplies?

My last roommate had to have a pick put in so he could get factor everyday because he is a hemophiliac. As a result, he had to have gloves, bandages, dressings alcohol swabs, syringes, etc delivered. When he moved out, he left 2 boxes full of supplies. We contacted him yesterday the other day and he said he didn't need them. Do you think the local hospitals would accept them or is there some organization out there that can use them? I would feel bad throwing it all away but it is taking up space. They're the little syringe things without a needle on them.

If there is a nursing or healthcare school near you, contact them and ask if they would like these donated supplies. Hospitals will not (or at least they shouldn't) accept these types of supplies. Healthcare schools very often accept donated supplies. Since they don't usually actually use the supplies, it doesn't even matter if the supplies are outdated or opened.

I'm sure you'll have no problem selling those syringes. Just take a walk downtown to the dark alleys.
